The workshop brought together ten participants from five partner organizations — Humanity & Inclusion, Terre des Hommes, NGO Girls, Gender Bureau, and I Know You Can — to strengthen disability?inclusive practices in humanitarian response.
Throughout the workshop, participants explored the IASC Guidelines on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action and worked together to identify practical ways to make humanitarian programmes more inclusive and their interventions accessible for the people the most affected by war. Sessions combined technical inputs with hands-on group work, allowing participants to:
- Analyze barriers faced by persons with disabilities.
- Apply principles of intersectionality.
- Review inclusive project cycle management.
- Strengthen accountability to affected populations.
- Improve accessibility in programme design.
Participants reviewed their own organizational tools and processes, identified opportunities for improvement, and developed tailored action plans to strengthen disability inclusion. The workshop also fostered peer learning and exchange.

By supporting humanitarian actors to review, adapt and strengthen their approaches, the workshop contributes to ensuring that persons with disabilities are meaningfully included in humanitarian action — a necessity in Ukraine today, where the war is tragically increasing the number of people living with disabilities.
