Bombing and shelling have left many people with deep injuries. Without proper rehabilitation services, they would have permanent disabilities.

Ahmed is able to perform daily activities again thanks to the physiotherapy program he followed with HI.

Ahmed, 22, was injured in Gaza City during the bombing of a nearby building. He was hit by rubble and shrapnel that fell on him, resulting in fractures in his pelvis and lower back. These injuries affected his pelvic bones, significantly impacting his daily life: He experienced difficulties with joint movement, pain, numbness, reduced sensation in his leg.

Rehabilitation is essential

Despite these significant challenges, Ahmed did not lose hope. He began physiotherapy sessions with HI, focusing on restoring joint movement and strengthening his pelvic muscles. The journey was difficult, as he experienced persistent pain and tension. But Ahmed was determined to overcome it.

During his treatment, Ahmed learned new techniques to improve pelvic flexibility. Through repetitive exercises and manual therapy, he gradually regained strength and mobility. After several sessions, combined with a home exercise program, he began to notice a marked improvement. Regaining mobility was not only a physical milestone, it was a turning point in his life.

To perform again daily activities

Ahmed was able to return to his daily activities. He could once again sit and walk in the schoolyard with his friends, something he had always loved. Ahmed continued to build his physical and occupational therapy skills, seizing every opportunity to improve his abilities. He also shared his story with others, inspiring many men in his community to confront and overcome their own challenges.
